The market has ended with gains. The Sensex was up 109.16 points or 0.4 percent at 28452.17 and the Nifty closed up 41.85 points or 0.5 percent at 8786.20.
About 1314 shares have advanced, 1359 shares declined, and 232 shares are unchanged.
L&T, Hero, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank and ITC were gainers while Tata Steel, Lupin, NTPC and ONGC were losers in the Sensex.
