Bears kept tight control over Dalal Street in afternoon, tracking global weakness on worries over US interest rate hikes. The Sensex continued to flirt with 34,000 levels, trading down over 400 pts but midcaps fare better than frontline indices, with Nifty Midcap index falling only 0.2 percent.
