Wall Street mixed as weak earnings offset strong economic data

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 37.37 points, or 0.16 percent, to 23,962.35, the S&P 500 lost 3.97 points, or 0.15 percent, to 2,631.7 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 3.73 points, or 0.05 percent, to 7,097.16.
